WHAT IS THIS PAGE FOR? Each game has at least one league, and will be a considered a Squad based or Solo league e.g. Halo 2 Squad league and Halo 2 Solo League. The competition lasts between 8 – 12weeks – this period is called a ‘season.’ At the end of each season, a pre-determined number of players/teams qualify for the knock-out playoffs to decide the league champion (see individual league rules for more details). If you don’t qualify for the playoffs, you simply start a new season and try again. When one season ends, a new season begins immediately, with the playoffs existing alongside the new season. Playoffs can last between 1 – 4 weeks.
Unlike tournaments, an unlimited amount of players/teams can participate in a league. You may start playing at anytime during the season and play as many games as you wish (with some exceptions being added to the system rules as time goes on)
Team-based games can vary from 2 players upwards, depending on the rules for each individual league. A team can have more players in it than are required to play the game, e.g. you might want to have 5-6 players in your Gears of War team even though you can only play with 4. Think of them as reserves. If for some reason one of your players can’t make a scheduled match then you have a back up ready and waiting. The maximum players allowed on a squad currnelty is 10. You can add and remove players from your squad at anytime. Players that are not on your squad roster at the time of a match cannot participate in the match.
We have a standard rules set that should be followed throughout the season; however you may choose to negotiate your own set of rules in the “Comments / Additional Rules” area of the challenge. Playoff rules will be solely at TEAMCOMPETE.COM administrations discretion.
TEAMCOMPETE.COM uses a simple challenge system. You can challenge people in a number of ways. The easiest way to find a player/team to challenge is to look at the league standings. Another way to find a player is to click on the CHALLENGE tab once you are in a league. From here you can search for users and click the CHALLENGE button. On the right of the screen you will be able to use the challenge system to negotiate the time and date of your challenge.
